Letter from the Pastor,
continued...
The 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening Mass uses contemporary
music. The liturgical music for the 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning Mass
is led by a cantor. The 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning Mass is the solemn
liturgy with full organ and choir. This Mass often has visiting
musicians join us to praise the Lord during the sacred liturgy.
Our parish also has a growing Hispanic population
and Mass in Spanish is celebrated every Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
As was said, the parish family of St. Josephs
is vast and varied. We have families of German immigrants who arrived
here over a century ago. Four to five generations of immigrants
call St. Josephs home. Our Hispanic population comes from
the Caribbean, South America, and Mexico. Both young and old, both
blue collar and white collar make their home at St. Josephs.
We are pleased to have both senior citizens and college students
from the University of Oklahoma as part of our parish family.
We welcome your visit and invite you to join us at
the Eucharist when you are in Norman.
Sincerely in the Lord,
Rev. Ed Menasco
Pastor
